The grand city of Courtland is located between the cities of New Ulm and Nicollet in southern Minnesota. Just about 20 miles from Mankato, Courtland is in Nicollet County and contains small city charm in the middle of bigger cities.
The population of Courtland is around 611. The city contains several businesses that provide many services to the surrounding people and communities. There are a ton of events that happen throughout the year in Courtland and many fun people around to enjoy the events with.

The Courtland City Office is a one-person office. There are times when the Clerk is out of the office due to meetings, conferences and other City business matters.
All city facilities to close to the public March 18-until further notice; essential city services will continue
Starting March 18 until further notice, all city facilities will close to the public. This includes city office, community center, fire station and city shop.
City staff will continue to work in all facilities in a limited capacity to provide essential city services. You are encouraged to connect with city staff through the city website, by phone and by email. If you have business that is time-sensitive and must be conducted in person, call 507-354-7055 to make an appointment. City staff will do their best to accommodate your request.
